Solar generated power critical in heat wave

John Grimes, CEO, Australian Solar Council has posted an analysis of the significant contribution solar generated power is making to the demands placed on the electricity grid in the current heat wave conditions. In the hottest part of the day, solar generation is at it’s peak and the entire community is benefiting from the investment made by households and businesses in solar power. In a state by state breakdown the percentage of state electricity use from solar generated power is as follows:
9.41% in SA

9.13% in WA

8.64% in QLD

2.80% in VIC and

3.59% in NSW
